Singapore, the only city-island-nation in the world and one of the easiest cities to go around.
Starting from the first impression of getting from the airport to your city hotel.
Changi Airport has an easy-to-go service , that transfers guests to all city hotels safe and easy with City Shuttle Bus. Only 6 euros per person and you can book it online. The bus will be waiting for you at the exit of the airport.
Singapore is a city full of wanders , from the iconic and well-known "Marina Bay Sands" hotel to the "Gardens by the bay".
If you choose to stay at "Marina Bay Sands" hotel or just a hotel in the city, then you don't even need Uber or a taxi to get around. It is a walkable city and everything you need to visit is just minutes away.
We started the tour from Clarke Quay and the Old Hill police station.
Clarke Quay is a unique, conserved historical landmark located along the Singapore River and near Singapore's Central Business District.
The Old Hill police station is a instagrammable location, a police station with rainbow colored blinds that stand out against the white building and make it the perfect backdrop for an Instagram photo. If you want to be in the photo just be careful and make sure you watch out for traffic, the road on which the police station is located is extremely trafficked.
We took a couple of shots at this remarkable street and then we went to the Merlion Park to enjoy the views from the other side of Marina Bay Sands, and then we got on the top of the hotel to enjoy lunch with spectacular views to the ocean and the city.
We had lunch at the Ce La Vi restaurant, where you have the chance to see the renowned pool and get some goosebumps from the heights. There is also a cocktail roof top bar called Spago Bar & Lounge.
Highly recommend booking that in advance online or through an email to the hotel. Or you can just enjoy the view from the Sky Park Observation Deck , located near by.
Few steps away from the Marina Bay Sands, you may find the Gardens by the bay and the incredible Cloud Forest within.
Just go to the ticket station and get tickets to see the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome plus the Garden by the bay. Don't forget to ask about the Show. There is a lighting show taking place during sunset. Totally worth the wait.
On the other side of the city and just a 15 min walk, you may find the Chinatown and the Lau Pa Sat food market, where you can enjoy local delicacies. The Chinatown is incredible, has beautiful architecture and hippie and modern bars and restaurants and it is filled with color. There is also a local market there to find small beauty treasures or even a big variety of chopsticks and souvenirs.
